The Final Episode Of "Off The Court"

I was sitting in my living room in Seattle, not only craving basketball but missing NC State. While scanning Instagram, my feed was full of WNBA talk shows hosted by various athletes. All of which were attempting to fill the basketball-shaped hole left in the wake of COVID-19. It made me sad. I felt like I hadn't had a chance to say goodbye to NC State or my teammates. I needed closure and a little hope. I think we all did. It was then that I decided to start Off The Court, a name for which my mom gets all the credit. I had explained to her that I wanted the fans to get the chance to meet and love the women of Wolfpack Women's Basketball the way I do. The name seemed like a natural choice. You have known us as the athletes that run around on a wood floor twice a week, but you never had the chance to learn what made us unique, the things that make us special. It was time to introduce you to the women we are when we are off the court.

Matti, Megan, Keeshan, and Justin were the ones who brought my vision to life. They were all on board the second I reached out to them, which makes me think everyone was missing it as much as I was. While they were the backbone of the production in charge of filming, editing, and coordinating, I got to do all the fun things like choosing the guests, questions, and laughing on camera. None of this would have been possible without their amazing effort over the last 9 weeks. To you all, I cannot say thank you enough! This little labor of love has given us some closure to a season that was cut short. Hopefully, it also inspired Wolfpack Nation to appreciate the previous, current, and future Wolfpack Women in a new and fresh perspective.

Thank you to everyone who supported this exciting project. I always said that Wolfpack Nation was the best part of NC State, and once again you have not let me down. Though I doubt we could ever do enough episodes to be satisfied, with my first professional season in Switzerland around the corner and the current players heading into finals, it seemed like the appropriate time to say goodbye. This has been such a great experience and I hope you have enjoyed as much as I have.

P.S. If you haven't had a chance to watch the episodes, no worries, they are all posted on the media page of my website, @packwomensbball social media, as well as Youtube. It's worth the watch, trust me!
